End Of Sept, Looking Forward To Oct

Like what many fellow traders (tradergav,Uglychart, movethemarket, stocktickr) feels,Sept is indeed a tough month for trading & some think its even a tougher month than Aug. Looking back, although overall market was on the uptrend, if you have watched the market closely, its really choppy. Just like a tennis game, the scoreline is NOT really reflective of the intensity of the match. A set 6-2 looks like the winner trounced the loser, but if every game was a deuce, then the scoreline belies the difficult match.

For myself, I had less trading activity in Sep because there were simply less good setups & market condition was not favourable for trading in many days. And I think the following rules from Linda Bradford (thanks to TraderGav)in particular saved me from being whipsaw in Sep:

-Never get into the market because you are anxious because of waiting
-If a market doesn't do what you think it should do, get out
-Standing aside is a position

If any of you out there had a fantastic trading month in Sep, pls add your comments here. I'm sure we will all be happy to learn from you.

Anyways, Welcome Oct!
